A whole lot of catching up to do

January was not our greatest month ever, although we had a lot of fun, I also spent quite a bit of the month in bed with pneumonia (it wasn't fun at all). Thankfully my aunt Anita is off of work for a little bit, she came over just about everyday and watched the kids so that I could rest, otherwise I would still probably be sick. This is one reason why our blog has been so behind. I finally started to get better last week.
Emma loves to play with James, it is fun to watch them interact with each other, she will read him books, and show him her toys, and try to get him to hold onto her toys.
James doesn't really seem to mind the attention from Emma, but we do have to keep reminding her at times to be careful, and sometimes to leave him alone (like when he's sleeping).
One of our friends had extra tickets to a magic show, and he gave them to us. Emma had fun at first, but she got bored pretty quickly (we did to). I think her favorite part was the end, he made lots of balloon animals, and then made it snow.

One of Emma's favorite places to be is on Grandpa's lap reading a book. She loves to climb up and play too. (I'm pretty sure that Grandpa likes it even more than she does)
James really likes to be in his swing, so much in fact, that he sleeps in it every night, but sometimes he won't sit straight in it, we even try to move him while he's sleeping, but he just moves himself back to this position, it looks uncomfortable, but he loves it.

Grandpa bought Emma a set of Handy Manny tools for Christmas, she loves to "fix us" all the time. She gets out the tools and asks where we are hurt, and then proceeds to "fix us"

Emma loves to wear her Daddy's hats and gloves, she puts them on and walks around the house trying to act like Daddy.

She also likes her purses, and has taken a few of them from Aunt Emily.

James' Blessing

We blessed James on January 4th. Here are some of the pictures we took that day. We had so much going on, that I didn't even get any of James alone, I am hoping to do that this week. We had a wonderful time with all of our family and friends that could make it. We are so grateful to all of them for coming. James is such a wonderful baby, we are glad he is part of our family.
James was nice and quiet during the blessing, although he wasn't too fond of his suit (I insisted he have a nice outfit, and we found this one for such a good deal we couldn't pass it up). I thought he looked adorable in it. I am hoping to get more pictures up in the next few days since I am really behind...so keep checking back for more updates.
